Baltimore County Golf is excited to introduce two talented new instructors now available for private lessons at Fox Hollow and Diamond Ridge - DeAndre Diggs, PGA, and Rachel Yu. Whether you're picking up a club for the first time or looking to sharpen your game, these two bring the passion, experience, and genuine care for golfers that BCG is known for.
DeAndre is a PGA Member and Certified Golf Instructor with deep roots here in Baltimore. A graduate of Archbishop Curley High School, he was named All-Conference in golf and recognized as an Outstanding Junior with the First Tee of Baltimore. He went on to compete collegiately at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, where he studied Professional Golf Management and earned multiple honors.
His professional career has taken him through some of the most respected clubs in the region and beyond - including Caves Valley Golf Club, Congressional Country Club, and Baltimore Country Club, among others. He brings that wealth of experience directly to his students, working with golfers of all skill levels with patience and a genuine passion for the game. Off the course, DeAndre is an active mentor in his community and is known for the compassion he brings to every student interaction.
DeAndre is available for lessons at Fox Hollow and Diamond Ridge. You can book a lesson with him directly at pga.com/coach/deandrediggs or reach him at dldiggs54@gmail.com.
Rachel Yu brings a truly unique perspective to golf instruction. Currently serving as the Associate Head Women's Golf Coach at Towson University, Rachel combines competitive playing experience with a thoughtful, holistic approach to the game rooted in anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics. She majored in philosophy with minors in Kinesiology and English — and that multidisciplinary background shows in the way she teaches.
Rachel picked up golf during her sophomore year of high school and went on to compete at the collegiate level, winning two Division II tournaments at Texas A&M International before finishing her career at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. She relocated to the Baltimore area from San Antonio, Texas in Spring 2025 and quickly became a valued part of the BCG team.
Rachel has a gift for working with golfers of all ages and experience levels, and her enthusiasm for helping people reach their goals on the course is infectious. She's available for lessons at Fox Hollow, and can be reached at rachelryu0@gmail.com or 443-862-6375.
