Golf is Back
Great news! Governor Larry Hogan is allowing golf courses statewide to open ahead of stage two of the Maryland Strong: Roadmap to Recovery Plan. All Courses are open for play with the restrictions listed below in place to maximize player safety.
During this phase, it will be necessary to take precautions to promote social distancing when possible as well as prevent large indoor gatherings. Therefore, Baltimore County Golf is taking the following steps, including but not limited to:
Tee Times: Time intervals at all courses are 12 minutes apart. Holding to this interval will be strictly enforced daily.
Driving Ranges: Ranges will be open at all courses.
Payment Options: Credit cards are preferred, but cash payments will be accepted.
Clubhouse Access: Limited access to the clubhouses will be available. ALL Golfers MUST wear a mask when entering the clubhouse.
Food and Beverage: Limited food and beverage will be available daily. Food and beverage areas will be slowly opening per the Governor and County Executive orders. Outdoor seating is available and beginning June 12th at 5pm, indoor seating with a maximum capacity will be allowed. Those sitting and eating may do so without a face mask, however anyone standing or walking in the buildings must wear a face mask.
Golf Carts: Beginning Friday - January 1, 2021 and beyond all golfers will pay the regular posted rate for golf and cart fees assuming they are riding in the same cart with their playing partner. Golfers who wish to have their own golf cart will still be accommodated for an additional $10 fee ($7 for twilight).**
Social Distancing: Golfers are asked to promote social distancing when possible and not gather in groups of more than ten (10).
Pace of Play: With 12 minute tee time intervals, pace of play is expected to be 4 hours or less to complete the round.
Scorecards: Scorecards are available at the course but can also be printed by clicking below:
Diamond Ridge – Fox Hollow – Greystone – Rocky Point – The Woodlands
On-Course: For the safety of all players, there will be no water coolers, rakes or ball washers available. In addition, there will not be a Marshal on the course and players are asked not to remove the flagstick. (a device has been inserted in the cup that only allows the ball to drop 1” below the cup edge)
Rental Clubs: Rental Clubs are available.
Practice Greens: The practice greens will have holes cut but no sticks.
Equipment: The BCG Staff will not be handling players equipment. It is up to the player to place their clubs on their cart and remove them. In addition, each player is requested to throw all trash away at the conclusion of their round.
Reduced Hours: Fox Hollow Training Center is back to its normal annual schedule - Click HERE for Hours
Greystone Grille: Greystone Grille is open for outdoor seating, reduced indoor seating (beginning 5pm on November 20th) and carryout. Please call the Grille directly at 410.887.4653 x-1121 for more information.
Instruction/Club Fitting: These services will be available, but will maintain 6’ distancing as possible during the session.
** Note - If a single is paired with a threesome, the single will pay to ride in a cart with that group. If the single prefers their own cart, they may have it for an additional $10 fee ($7 for twilight). If the single agrees to ride with the group, but a member of the threesome would prefer to ride alone, they will be subject to a $10 additional fee ($7 for twilight).
The staff at the courses will be sanitizing high traffic areas, golf carts, doors and credit card machines often for the safety of our guests. Please remember, the COVID-19 pandemic is still ongoing and while our operation is open, it is very limited relative to our normal offering. Please enjoy our courses and your time at our facilities.
If you have any questions, please contact the golf shops directly for more information at 410-887-GOLF(4653). We are excited to open our gates for our golfers. We can't wait to see everyone on the course again!
